Little Moons
In one of the most competitive food sectors, Vivien is leading an independently owned ice cream brand with revenues of £18m and team of 150. In 2010, Little Moons created the mochi category in the UK, and they still lead it with no direct product competitors, a rarity in FMCG.
Vivien has been instrumental in driving the business strategy. She has made bold and brave decisions including not taking on outside investment, with profits being ploughed back into the business to fuel growth. This includes a recent £3.5m investment in a new production facility enabling Little Moons to have full control of their production process, most FMCG brands outsource manufacturing.
This strategy paid off. As the pandemic took hold, being in control of manufacturing meant Vivien could lead the business with absolute clarity flexing manufacturing to current need and controlling costs which was critical when food service completely shut down. In February 2021, on top of the pandemic, Little Moons went viral on TikTok and the business was faced with stats like a 3500% increase in demand from Tesco. Vivien took control of the situation, increasing production capacity and ensuring the business could capitalise long term on this incredible trend. In the most difficult year Vivien has driven the business to a forecasted 150% revenue growth.Vivien represents the BAME community and is a newly appointed ambassador for The Prince's Trust, recently working alongside the trust to raise funds for 'women supporting women' in the run up to International Women's Day.
